GAS & POWER: The European Union will today present its plan for the exit from Russian fossil fuels: as far as gas is concerned, the aim is to prohibit the finalisation of new contracts by the end of the year, and the exit from currently existing contracts by the end of 2027. The plan will then have to be discussed in the coming months and changes are not excluded, with possible opposition from the countries most closely linked to Moscow

OIL: The OPEC+ group's decision to increase crude oil production by an additional 400 thousand barrels/day starting next June pushed quotations back to their lowest level since the last four years. Overall, the easing of the cuts so far approved by the group will lead to the return of about 960 thousand barrels/day, compared to total cuts at full capacity of 5.5 million barrels/day
