GAS & POWER: After Asian prices exceeded the €70/MWh threshold, significantly higher than European hub prices, the first changes in the routes of methane tankers in the Atlantic area were observed. Both the SIMSIMAH LNG carrier, which departed from the American terminal in Plaquemines, and the BW BRUSSELS, which sailed from the Nigerian terminal in Bonny Island, initially bound for European ports, have now changed course towards the Cape of Good Hope, signaling a clear intention to head for Asian destinations.

The Peruvian liquefaction terminal Peru LNG, located just south of the capital Lima, has suffered an interruption in operations following an explosion that affected the network in the surrounding area. The shutdown is expected to last no less than fifteen days. At full capacity, the terminal handles around 400 million cubic meters per month, of which around 100 are destined for Europe.
