GAS & POWER: Only partial ramp-up this morning from Norwegian exports, with yet another extension of the operations underway at the Troll production field. The overall impact is estimated at around 80 million cubic metres this morning –down from over 100 yesterday– and expected to substantially halve tomorrow.

The European Commission announced yesterday its intention to postpone the entry into force of the EU regulation on methane emissions. Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen specified that Brussels is considering a one-year delay limited to the imported fossil fuel portion, a delay that would bring monitoring and reporting requirements to January 1°, 2028. The proposal comes after pressure from a dozen governments and exporting countries —led by the United States, Qatar, and France— to protect security of supply, amid ongoing tensions over Hormuz.
