GAS & POWER: Late yesterday morning, Qatar Energy announced the suspension, as a precautionary measure, of liquefaction activities at the Ras Laffan plant, following the collision of a drone in the area. More information on the possible extent of the damage will be released when available.

The supply disruption observed in the Middle East has already triggered the first strong reactions: the Egyptian state-owned company Egas is already looking for at least three shipments to be delivered in the first half of March, while in the Pacific region, in India, supply cuts are already being announced. The situation remains particularly volatile, with obvious difficulties in absorbing yet another shock to the energy markets.
