GAS & POWER: After a bullish session and crude prices hitting two-week highs, Trump's latest statement on ongoing discussions with the Tehran government and the suspension of any new military offensive ahead of the Midterm elections on November 3 has sparked a brief sell-off. Front-month TTF quotes opened the day around 3 €/MWh at a discount from yesterday's close, but have already been able to recover almost all of their decline.
ITALIA: Yesterday, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security indicated for the first time a specific date for the entry into operation of the much-discussed “liquidity corridor”, now scheduled for January 1, 2027. The effect on the markets was immediate, with the PSV-TTF spreads for November and December widening, while a contraction was recorded in the first quarter of 2027.
