GAS & POWER: The latest updates to weather models confirm that the second half of the week will be colder and more unstable, especially in central and northern Europe. The following days are expected to become milder again, with no significant cold spells expected until October 20. Long-range models show greater uncertainty, particularly for the month of November.

The U.S. National Weather Service has reported in recent hours a high probability of a tropical depression forming in the southern part of the Gulf of Mexico. The system, which is expected to strengthen over the next forty-eight hours, should then move northeastward, with potential impacts on the northern coast of the Gulf—an area where U.S. liquefaction capacity is concentrated. It is still too early to estimate possible disruptions or restrictions at the terminals.
