Episode n.122 of 26/08/2026 – The Energy Call

In episode 122 of The Energy Call we talked about, among others, the following topics: - Publication by ARERA of resolution 288 regarding the migration of the national REMIT register to CEREM and communication by SNAM regarding the publication of versions 3 of the 2026 multi-year adjustment and the final June budget. - Publication by ARERA of resolution 286 on the possible introduction of procedures for measuring risks due to fixed price hedges. On the energy markets, finally, if electricity oils are more balanced than the price level might suggest, gas remains instead the most delicate point in the European system. With storage filling around 63% versus a five-year average of around 80% over the same period of the year and with major Norwegian maintainances expected in September, prices incorporate a justified risk premium that conversely makes the European market more attractive to American and African LNG. The focus of the coming weeks will therefore be on whether this improvement in LNG will be sufficient to simultaneously offset Norwegian maintenance, storage deficits, and reduced flows from the Middle East.
