Episode n.119 of 21/07/2026 – The Energy Call
In episode 119 of The Energy Call we talked about, among others, the following topics:
- Publication by ARERA of resolution 252.26 a on the introduction of the Electronic Identity Card for the purpose of authentication to the registry offices of the authority.
- Publication on the TS2 portal of the MIG instance of communication on the improvements introduced in the monitoring methodology.
- Commentary on the publication of ARERA resolution 255 on the guidelines provided for in the Commercial Code of Conduct and resolution 189 on renewals of the economic conditions of gas light supplies.
Finally, on the gas markets we are seeing a parabolic rise in prices, which this morning hit their highest levels since March 19th. Following the relative optimism observed in the first part of the summer, operators are facing the imminent risk of seeing deliveries affected at the start of the winter season, with European storage filling substantially at an all-time low for the period.
On the fundamentals front, European regasification remains limited by the higher premium paid by Asian markets, while in the United States the launch of a second tropical storm on the coasts of Louisiana and Texas threatens short-term operations.
