American liquefaction capacity is growing, preparing to take advantage of the current environment of decidedly high prices. American Cheniere announced that over the weekend, train number 7 at the Corpus Christi terminal produced the first liquefied gas, completing the first block of the so-called expansion phase “Stage 3”. Two new trains, numbers 8 and 9, will enter production between 2027 and 2028. At the same time, the Golden Pass terminal has achieved new feedgas records since the plant's launch – the first export took place last April – the last ship loaded (UMM WASHAH) was on August 4, with an acceleration of operations expected in the coming weeks.
