GAS & POWER: Yesterday the CEO of QatarEnergy updated the market on the state of developments of the North Field project, with the first production of liquefied gas now expected in the second half of next year. The date was postponed from previous communications, which referred to a period between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, due to delays due to the consequences of the Covid pandemic that occurred between 2020 and 2022. The project will allow the Emirate's output to be developed significantly, leading it to grow from the current 77 mtpa to over 140 mtpa by the end of the decade.
