GAS & POWER: Chinese LNG imports grew in June, up by around half a billion cubic metres from deliveries in May. However, demand was lower than last year’s figure and lower than the average for the past 4 years. Since the beginning of the year, Beijing has seen a 20% reduction in deliveries by ship, as a combination of prices that tend to be higher than in 2024, and an increase in both domestic production and use of the Power of Siberia pipeline

EUAs: The European Commission proposed yesterday an amendment to the current EU climate legislation, bringing the target level of reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from 1990 levels to 90%. The 27 must achieve a 55% reduction by 2030. More flexibility has been introduced in the new plan, such as the possibility of using credits to offset emissions from internationally certified projects
