GAS & POWER: Gas markets are hovering at recent highs this morning, after front month TTF surpassed the 80 €/MWh mark yesterday. In addition to the continued firefights in the Strait, the market was supported by the confirmation of the increased competitiveness shown by Asia in the coming months – over 15 cargoes were purchased for delivery between November and January from South Korea's Kogas, while the Bangladeshi government confirmed the contracting of 12 new cargoes over the coming winter, in addition to those of recent weeks, all destined to replace Qatari volumes – and on the totally opposite front, the intensification of Ukrainian attacks in the regions where the liquefaction terminals of Yamal and Arctic LNG 2 are located.

EQUITY: European markets opened the session with little movement, always focusing on the performance of energy commodities, but today the focus is on the ECB meeting taking place in Frankfurt. Given a rate hike, with traders considering two more hikes likely over the next few months, interest will be in a possible change in central bank approach or more specific guidance on future moves.
