02/11/2026 – OPEC+ group leaves production quotas unchanged for December and postpones decision on 2027 targets – Read more news

GAS & POWER: The high pressure prevailing over the continent paves the way for the arrival of cold air from the east, with temperatures expected to drop progressively throughout the week, remaining steadily below the seasonal averages. More instability is possible from the weekend, with rising temperatures and partial recovery of wind generation capacity, conditions that, however, will need to be confirmed in the coming days. A real regime change appears unlikely before the last ten days of the month.

OIL: Yesterday, the seven main members of the OPEC+ group decided to keep their production targets unchanged for the month of December, confirming the levels set last September. The decision was widely expected, following the dismantling of the voluntary 1.65 million barrel-per-day cuts agreed in 2023, with the group already leaving its targets for October and November unchanged. The next meeting on November 29 should finally define the quotas for the year 2027, however the difficult geopolitical context remains a factor to consider on the cartel's choices.
