30/06/2026 – Edison – QatarEnergy: the extension of the force majeure until early September brings the total number of cancelled LNG cargoes to 21 – Read more news

GAS & POWER: The weekend saw yet another clash between the United States and Iran, which, just over a week later, has severely tested the stability of the memorandum signed between the two countries and once again led to a virtual standstill in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, following the initial positive signs of the previous days. Washington and Tehran have scheduled a new round of talks today in Doha aimed at better defining navigation procedures in the Strait of Hormuz. The outcome will be the key driver of today’s trading session. This morning, gas prices are trading at last week’s highs, with the ICE front-month contract above €43/MWh.

ITALIA: Yesterday evening, Edison received a further update from QatarEnergy regarding the force majeure measure in place since last March. The Qatari company has further extended the planned restriction on deliveries, now postponed to early September, which has affected the delivery of a further four LNG carriers, bringing the total number of cancelled shipments to 21.
