GAS & POWER: Strike action is expected to intensify at the Australian terminal Ichthys LNG, responsible for around 10% of exports from the country, after negotiations between the employer and the union failed to yield the desired results. Launched on June 2, the initial disruptions had already led to initial delays in the operation of the liquefaction plant, but Reuters reported that this further escalation is expected to significantly impact deliveries, effectively destroying supplies.

Yesterday, a new LNG carrier passed through the Strait of Hormuz, the ninth since the beginning of the conflict on February 28. The ship AL DAYEEN, owned by Qatar Energy, completed the crossing with its transponders deactivated: after being stranded inside the Gulf for about three months, yesterday it was suddenly located off the coast of Oman, with its final destination in China.
