Episode n.110 of 19/05/2026 – The Energy Call
In episode 110 of The Energy Call we talked about the following topics, among others:
- Communication from SNAM regarding the need for recalculation of the final financial statements from October 25 to February 26 and communication by ARERA and jointly by the sole purchaser regarding the management of measurement data resulting in negative withdrawals as well as in cases of meter rotation for the purposes of the seventh in gas.
- Issuance by the SII of the final specifications on preliminary checks and the new electrical switching process as provided for in resolution 58 and communication by the GME of the date of the next auctions for the flexibility market and by TERNA of the dates for the blank tests of the FCR auctions.
On the market side, gas prices in Europe have steadily exceeded the 50 euro/mWh threshold over the last three sessions, following the latest signs of escalation from the Middle East. At the same time, prices on Asian markets have seen a new acceleration also due to some supply constraints that have emerged in the region as the first off-season warm weather is recorded, supporting additional demand. In Europe, Gasco's scheduled maintenance work for Wednesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 21, which will take approximately half of Norway's export capacity offline, is being closely monitored.
