GAS & POWER: European gas storage levels have shown further signs of slowing down over the past week, with injections hampered by maintenance work at regasification terminals and temperatures well below average – Germany and Belgium have recorded withdrawals over the last two days – in addition to constraints on Norwegian export capacity, which are expected to intensify over the coming week.
EQUITY: The two-day summit between Xi and Trump has concluded: on the geopolitical front, the two powers agreed on the need to reopen shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible, whilst signs of tension emerged over the handling of the Taiwan issue. On the trade front, the United States announced the sale of 200 Boeing aircraft to Beijing, and, in general, mutual agreements were reached on maintaining relations.
