GAS & POWER: The LNG carrier AL QA'IYYYAH is currently crossing the Atlantic Ocean en route to the Zeebrugge terminal in Belgium, where it is scheduled to arrive on 8 May. OIL: Nella giornata di ieri gli Emirati Arabi Uniti hanno annunciato l’uscita dal cartello OPEC. Uno dei primi paesi produttori del cartello, con circa 3.5 milioni di barili giorno, la decisione è stata presa dopo una revisione dell’attuale e futura capacità produttiva, considerando l’indipendenza come migliore strategia per il paese. La scelta degli Emirati segue quella più recente dell’Angola, e si inserisce nell’insoddisfazione dei paesi membri verso la gestione delle quote produttive, sempre più guidata negli ultimi anni dai voleri dell’Arabia Saudita.
