GAS & POWER: The European Commission's gas coordination group, meeting yesterday in Brussels, did not highlight any immediate risks to gas supplies despite the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. The focus was, however, shifted to winter requirements; above all, the call for member countries to make use of the flexibility clauses for filling storage, which, although below the average of the last five years, showed the first positive signs of filling as early as the beginning of the month, was reiterated.

OIL: Crude oil prices began to rise again this morning after Saudi Aramco reported actual damage to infrastructure connected to the East-West pipeline, which was hit by Iranian strikes shortly after the truce was announced. Approximately 700 thousand barrels/day have been impacted, approximately 10% of the capacity used in recent weeks at full capacity to bypass the Hormuz blockade. Other Saudi facilities were also affected, with impacts exceeding 500 thousand barrels/day.
