GAS & POWER: The LNG carrier KOOL BLIZZARD is docked at the Australian terminal Darwin LNG, indicating the possible start of loading activities from the facility. Once operations are completed, this would be the first delivery handled since November 2023, followed by an interruption due to a lack of feedgas. The plant has been connected in recent months to a new production well, and at full capacity it is capable of liquefying approximately 5 billion cubic meters per year.

The descent of a new cold wave over the United States, expected over the next two weeks, has led prices to rise 50% in recent market sessions. Particularly severe cold conditions could also pose a risk to Europe, with the possibility of disruptions in the operations of major liquefaction terminals located in the south of the country.
