GAS & POWER: The filling level of European gas storage has fallen below the 60% threshold, according to GIE data. In 2025, this level was reached only in the final part of January. Since the beginning of November, approximately 25 billion cubic meters have been disbursed, a value slightly lower than the 27 billion cubic meters withdrawn over the same period last year.
OIL: Strong volatility in crude oil prices during the geopolitical-influenced Christmas holidays, first on the Russian-Ukrainian front, then on the Venezuelan front. Sales have just recently returned to the market, following US President Trump's announcement of a $2 billion (about 30-50 million barrels in total) supply deal from the Caribbean country.
