GAS & POWER: As expected, the area of high pressure located in the North Atlantic will pave the way for cold air to descend on the continent, bringing with it unstable conditions, widespread precipitation and, at times, significant winds. Particularly cold temperatures are expected in the second half of January, while a return to milder conditions remains possible, with a high degree of uncertainty in the second half of the month.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller announced that during 2025, direct supplies to China exceeded the contractual target by approximately 800 million cubic metres, fully utilising the capacity of the Power of Siberia pipeline. In 2024, the year in which the pipeline gradually reached full operating capacity, the volumes delivered reached 31 billion cubic metres.
