GAS & POWER: As widely expected, European operators have accelerated disbursements from underground storage over the past week to cope with rising residential demand coinciding with the first cold snap of this winter season. 42 TWh has been delivered since the beginning of the month, about half of the previous year, compared to approximately similar consumption, with the difference obviously offset by the greater number of LNG carriers arriving at European ports. The average filling level fell below the 79% threshold in agreement with European data.

EQUITY: On the geopolitical front, progress was made yesterday between the United States and Ukraine in defining the peace plan, which appears to have been reduced to 19 points to the initial 28. However, the first signs of opposition are coming from the Kremlin, in a negotiation that promises to be long and difficult.
