GAS & POWER: In Australia, there are potential delays in the progress of the Pluto LNG terminal expansion project, due to the failure to advance wage negotiations between unions and the company responsible for the work. The work includes the construction of a new 5 mtpa liquefaction train, with entry into operation expected between 2026 and 2027.

OIL: Crude oil prices plunged sharply yesterday, driven by the latest update released by the OPEC Group on market status. The cartel, after particularly tense market forecasts for the first half of next year, now expects a significantly more balanced supply/demand situation, hence the decision earlier this month regarding the suspension on the gradual easing of post-Covid production cuts.
