03/11/2025 – OPEC Group: new increase in production quotas approved from December, then break until March 2026 – Read the other news

OIL: As expected, the OPEC group voted for a new increase in production quotas starting from December, at levels already approved in the previous months of October and November (+137 thousand barrels per day). On the other hand, the announcement of the policy for the first quarter of next year was less expected, on which a pause has already been announced, a dynamic that offered support to prices in the early hours of this morning.

EUAs: On the political front, the Environment Ministers of the 27 are scheduled to meet tomorrow, with the aim of reaching an agreement on the proposal to amend European climate legislation in order to establish a binding intermediate climate target for 2040. The proposal presented by the European Commission introduces the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040 compared to 1990 levels.
