Episode n.81 of 21/10/2025 – The Energy Call
In Episode 81 of The Energy Call we have commented on the problem that some shippers have encountered on Jarvis in recent days regarding the transport credit limit error that did not include the 20% allowance. We discussed ARERA's responses to some requests for clarification sent to it by a trade association regarding Resolution 386/2025, with which the authority implemented Article 5, paragraph 1, of Decree Law 1925. We then took a closer look at TERNA's recent opening of the subscription process for new BRP contracts, commenting on the bureaucratic process that operators will have to go through and the timing for the release of the relevant guarantees. Finally, we analysed the gas markets, which showed minimal volatility in the last week of trading, limited also by the constant flow of supplies from Norwegian production fields. On the geopolitical front, we noted an important step forward for the European plan to ban Russian oil and gas imports, divided into three phases and with full implementation scheduled for 1 January 2028.
