GAS & POWER: Canada aims to strengthen its role as a liquefied gas exporting country in the coming years. The start-up of the Canada LNG terminal will be followed by the Woodfibre LNG and Cedar LNG plants already under construction and expected to come into operation before the end of the decade for a total capacity of 5 mtpa. Then yesterday, the Canadian government approved authorization permits for a new 12 mtpa terminal, located in the north-west of the country, whose final decision on construction is expected by the end of the year. If confirmed, it would be the second largest plant in the country, and would be scheduled to come online no later than 2029.

EQUITY: The wait for the Fed meeting scheduled for tomorrow offered further upward pushes on Wall Street, as European markets opened in conflict this morning. The BOE's response is also expected on Thursday, while at the end of the week it will be the BOJ's turn.
