Episodio n.120 of 28/07/2026 – The Energy Call
In episode 120 of The Energy Call we talked about the following topics, among others:
- Publication by ARERA of resolution 268 on the initiation of a procedure for the evolution of the offer portal and the consumption portal and publication on the TS2 portal of the presentations of the event of 20 July.
- Publication of ARERA Resolution 263, which defines the reference value of the standard specific gas consumption in the capacity market, which will increase from 320 for 2027 to 303 for 2028.
On the gas markets, finally, after the recent mutual suspension of hostilities after about two weeks of military escalation in the Persian Gulf we are seeing a fall in prices in line with the general easing of the geopolitical risk premium.
On fundamentals, forecasts point to a rise in temperatures across Europe resulting in an expected increase in demand for gas per electricity generation. LNG send out remains weak and the average filling level of European storage around 55% of around 10 percentage points below the 5-year record low at this time of year keeps the need for reconstitution high in the run-up to winter.
