GAS & POWER: Gas prices have risen again in the last few hours, hitting their highest since April 7. Tensions between the United States and Iran have risen again, with US President Trump issuing a new ultimatum to reach an agreement. The terms, which could expire between the end of this week and the beginning of next week, are unclear. Meanwhile, Iran has established a new maritime authority to control the Strait of Hormuz, the “Persian Gulf Strait Authority”
Supplies arriving from the North Seas this morning are dropping as expected, due to maintenance operations at the Troll and Kollsnes sites expected to last around two days. Yesterday, GASSCO added new operations with an estimated impact of approximately 20 million cubic meters per day over much of July and August, reducing supply prospects for the third quarter.
