GAS & POWER: A downward revision of temperatures expected over the next seven days across Europe is pushing prices towards new highs this morning, with the front-month TTF poised to test the psychological threshold of 90 €/MWh. The situation remains complex despite the United States attempting to cool the situation for the umpteenth time on the crude oil price front, with the official signing of the suspension of sanctions on Russian oil – with the possibility that this, however, will be reviewed within 60 days, a move that appears more like a time-grabbing move pending the midterm elections.

European gas storage remains at historic lows for the period, with a filling percentage still below 75%. At the national level, the most worrying situations are confirmed by those of Germany and Austria, with deviations from last year's levels exceeding 15%. In the last week, however, a recovery in the deficit of around 10 TWh should be reported, for a total value of around 100 TWh – compared to the peak TWh of 149 reached in mid-August.
