GAS & POWER: Oil and gas prices are rising again this morning, after US President Trump pushed back any potential dialogue between the United States and Iran overnight. Meanwhile, the situation in the region is becoming increasingly difficult: the United Arab Emirates has announced, effective immediately, the severance of all trade relations with Iran, in response to the latest missile attack yesterday. Finally, despite American rhetoric about the state of the Strait of Hormuz, considered open and fully navigable, the number of transits remains at its lowest point.

OIL: The stalemate in the Middle East continues, with crude prices holding steady at sustained levels and projected towards further increases. Further signaling the growing state of difficulty, yesterday the Iraqi government approved measures aimed at using alternative export routes, which will be valid from September 1st, and also include passage through countries such as Syria and Turkey, thanks to collaboration with international partners.
